About the Needles
What kind of needles are used?
Only sterile, single-use, solid needles
are used. Needles are NEVER re-used.
How big are the needles?
The standard needles are about the thickness
of a cat’s whisker! For those who are extremely sensitive,
there are smaller needles about the width of a hair.
How far in do they go?
Not very! Often they are placed very
shallowly (1-3 mm), especially in areas like wrists and ankles.
They can be more deeply inserted in other areas like the hips.
Does it hurt?
No! Most people feel nothing or
a tiny pinch when the needles are inserted. Any mild discomfort
disappears quickly.
